There isn't much else that beats a fun day than excited kids, tasty food and learning about healthy cooking. This was the result of one of our interactive events that took place at Norbury School in Harrow. We partnered up with the Kids Cookery School charity & TV chef Phil Vickery to educate young children about cooking healthy food with British Turkey.
The kids cookery school is a charity that helps educate young children about food and to encourage healthy eating and home cooking. The theme of the day was to use a recipe for mini turkey pizzas that they could make, bake in the oven and take home. The school provided all the catering equipment, ingredients and recipes so that everyone could create their own masterpiece.
The pupils were amazed with the different tastes and smells as Phil Vickery demonstrated how to cook turkey with everyone getting hands on and tasting all the different ingredients. The pupils learnt about food sources, benefits of eating healthily and got inspired to create good home cooked food.
Fiona Hamilton-Fairley Started the school in 2000, the charity has worked with over 65,000 children, young people and families across London, many of whom may have severe physical and learning disabilities, behavioural problems or been excluded from mainstream education.
